Bangladesh Coast Guard has provided free medical treatment and medicines to underprivileged people in Munshiganj.
The information was disclosed by Coast Guard Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Sabbir Alam Sujon on Thursday afternoon, 23 April 2026.
He said that since its inception, the Bangladesh Coast Guard has stood beside disadvantaged people living in coastal and riverbank areas in addressing various needs.
He added that the force has regularly been providing free treatment to poor and low-income people through medical campaigns.
As part of that effort, a medical camp was held from 9am to 2pm on Thursday at Coast Guard Composite Station Padma under Louhajang Police Station in Munshiganj, organised by the Coast Guard Dhaka Zone.
At the camp, 413 poor, destitute and underprivileged people, including children, were given free treatment and medicines.
The media officer said the Coast Guard would continue such public service activities in the future.
