The government has appointed new administrators to 42 district councils across the country to strengthen local government administration.
According to a notification issued by the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives (LGRD) today (15 March), the appointments are expected to make the administrative activities of the district councils more dynamic and effective.
The move has been taken to strengthen the local government system and accelerate development activities at the district level, it said.
