Two helmeted attackers opened fire at a garment businessman’s home in Uttara, though no casualties were reported.
The incident occurred yesterday evening (10 March) at House No 2 on Road No 21 in Sector 7, Uttara.
Confirming the matter, Inspector (Investigation) Md Muniruzzaman of Uttara West Police Station under the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) said the two individuals fired two rounds at the gate of the house.
Police also recovered two fresh bullets from in front of the residence.
Following reports of the shooting, law enforcement personnel collected CCTV footage and other evidence from the scene.
According to CCTV footage and local witnesses, two helmeted men on a white motorcycle first inspected the house.
After noticing people moving along the road, they left the area.
Later, when pedestrian movement decreased, they returned, fired the shots, and fled through a nearby alley.
The four-storey house targeted in the shooting, named Jannat, is owned by Abul Kashem, managing director (MD) of AKSB Group.
Police sources confirmed that no casualties were reported in the incident.
