The government is reviewing the Private University Act to create opportunities for the inclusion of reputed foreign universities in Bangladesh.
Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon made the announcement during a meeting with the Canadian High Commissioner to Bangladesh, HE Ajit Singh, today (8 March).
He also ensured that proper academic standards and infrastructure in these institutions are being given priority.
Milon said, “The government is currently reviewing the framework of the Private University Act to allow internationally recognised and quality foreign universities to become part of Bangladesh’s higher education system. This initiative will create more opportunities for Bangladeshi students to receive an internationally standard education.”
