The National Moon Sighting Committee has announced the sighting of the moon for the month of Ramadan in Bangladesh.
The announcement was made today (18 February) evening.
Consequently, Taraweeh prayers will begin from today, and Muslims across the country will start observing the fast from the pre-dawn meal (Sehri) today.
Following the moon sighting on Tuesday in Saudi Arabia and other Middle Eastern countries, Ramadan has already commenced in those nations.
