Bangladesh Infrastructure Finance Fund Limited (BIFFL) has launched a corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative to provide solar home systems to vulnerable coastal communities in Khulna, starting with households in Uttar Bedkashi Union of Koyra upazila.
Under the initiative, 10 vulnerable households in Uttar Bedkashi Union of Koyra upazila received Solar Home Systems (SHS) on 20 September in collaboration with Shushilan, a non-governmental organisation, according to the press release.
BIFFL Chief Executive Officer SM Anisuzzaman and Shushilan Chief Executive Mostafa Nuruzzaman attended the programme with other relevant officials.
Through the initiative, BIFFL said it reaffirmed its commitment to promoting environmental sustainability, expanding access to renewable energy and strengthening community resilience in climate-vulnerable regions.
