Bangladesh, Croatia seek to deepen trade, investment ties

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and his Croatian counterpart, Andrej Plenković, discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and expand trade, investment, and cooperation in areas of mutual interest during a meeting in New York on Wednesday (23 September).

The bilateral meeting took place on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly at UN headquarters, according to a Facebook post by the Prime Minister’s Office.

The two leaders emphasised expanding cooperation in economic relations, trade and investment, skilled manpower, education, technology and other areas with potential for collaboration, according to the post.

They also stressed the need to strengthen cooperation between Bangladesh and Croatia at the United Nations and other multilateral forums, as well as enhance coordination on international issues of mutual interest.
