Last August, when Hayden Panettiere was found dead in an apartment in Greenville, many of her fans were shocked and in deep sorrow.
However, at the time, it was unclear how she actually died.
Now, the Greenville County Coroner’s Office revealed the star’s cause of death.
Her body bore “no sign of trauma,” and that has ruled out any hint or suggestion of an assault or an injury from some other means that could have played a part in Panettiere’s death.
The Greenville Police Department itself previously stated that they do not suspect foul play in the star’s death.
“The preliminary investigation has not indicated any signs of foul play or suspicious circumstances,” a spokesperson said. “An acquaintance of Ms Panettiere placed the 911 call.”
Rather, what the coroner found was the “toxic effects” of several substances that led to the actress’s death.
Fentanyl, Xanax, 4-ANPP, methocarbamol, and quetiapine – these are the drugs that were found in Panettiere’s system and caused her death, according to the medical examiner.
But here is another key point: notice that the report also classified the actress’s death as an “accident”.
It means the authorities are uncertain whether the drugs Panettiere took that ended her life were intentional or not.
The actress was just 36 when she passed away.
