Multiple crude bombs explode in front of Jatrabari Police Station

Multiple crude bombs exploded in front of Jatrabari Police Station in the capital this evening (18 September), with several blasts heard near the station’s main gate around 7:40pm.

Mir Muhsin Masud Rana, additional deputy commissioner of the Demra Zone under the Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Wari Division, confirmed the matter to The Business Standard.

“Police station officials informed us about the crude bomb explosions. I am heading to the spot. I cannot say how many crude bombs exploded at this moment,” he said.

Earlier today, two crude bombs thrown from a flyover exploded on the main road near Malibagh Rail Gate, police said.

“Two crude bombs were thrown from the three-storey flyover at around 3pm. They fell onto the road and exploded,” Shahjahanpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Amirul Islam told TBS.
