Police recovered the dismembered head, torso and two hands of an unidentified woman from a sack beside a canal in Dhaka’s Adabor area today (12 September).
The remains were discovered at around 4:30pm near Hakkar Para in Adabor-10, according to police.
Adabor police reached the spot after receiving information and recovered the body parts. The woman’s identity could not immediately be established.
Adabor Police Station Officer-in-Charge Jahidul Islam confirmed the matter to The Business Standard.
“Police are currently at the scene. The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) have been informed to help identify the deceased. The woman’s two legs have not yet been found,” he told TBS at around 6pm.
