Rapid Action Battalion-8 (RAB-8) marked its 21st founding anniversary with a ceremony and luncheon in Barishal on Saturday (5 September).
Barishal Metropolitan Police Commissioner Abu Rayhan Muhammad Saleh and Barishal Range DIG Md Zulfikar Ali Haider attended the programme, according to a press release.
RAB-8 Commanding Officer Commander Muhammad Shahadat Hossain welcomed the police commissioner and range DIG with flowers.
Both officials congratulated all members of RAB-8 on the occasion.
Barishal Range Reserve Force Commandant and Additional DIG Md Abdus Salam Rimon, Superintendent of Police AZM Mostafizur Rahman and Range Office Superintendent of Police Kazi Md Shoaib were also present.
Other attendees included BMP Deputy Commissioner for Headquarters Md Abdul Hannan, Deputy Commissioner for South Sushanta Sarkar, Deputy Commissioner for North Mohammad Imad Hossain and Deputy Commissioner for Detective Branch Palash Kanti Nath, alongside senior officials from RAB-8 and the police.
