Selena Gomez’s Wondermind took a troubled turn.
According to Radar Online, Selena and her mother, Mandy Teefey, are facing legal complications over their mental health platform, Wondermind, as they have been the subject of accusations of financial wrongdoing involving about a million dollars.
However, the claims were made by the company’s investors and employees, who said that they were not getting their salaries on time and the actress’ mother was sleeping in the office.
Investors claimed, “For three years, while the company quietly collapsed around them, not one of its founders, officers or directors said a word to the investors whose money was funding the collapse.”
Further adding, they said that the company was poorly managed by Mandy, while the singer-daughter was accused of “abject dereliction of her duties to the company.”
But Mandy declared all of the claims “absolutely” false, as she also said in a statement that “I started Wondermind because I wanted to help people with mental illness.”
Noting, “It’s unfortunate that a few disgruntled employees with an ax to grind can spread lies about me and distort the truth.”
It is pertinent to mention that Selena Gomez and her mother, Mandy Teefey, co-founded Wondermind along with Daniella Pierson in 2021.
