Qatar Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has congratulated Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on his swearing-in as President of Bangladesh.
In a congratulatory message sent to President Mirza Fakhrul, the Amir wished him success in discharging his responsibilities as the head of state.
Sheikh Tamim also expressed hope that the relations between Bangladesh and Qatar would continue to develop and grow in the days ahead.
Mirza Fakhrul was elected the 23rd President of Bangladesh on 20 August and took the oath of office on Friday (21 August).
