At around 6am today, she was released from Munshiganj District Jail for 12 hours following an application submitted by her daughter.

According to concerned officials, Dipu Moni will remain on parole until 6pm today.
However, she will remain under close security surveillance by law enforcement agencies throughout the period.
Yesterday afternoon, her daughter, Tani Dipaboli, visited her mother at the jail.
She later submitted an application to the Munshiganj District Administration seeking four days of parole, but the authorities approved Dipu Moni’s release on parole for 12 hours.
Dipu Moni’s lawyer, Gazi Faisal, said that following her release, “She will travel to Kalabagan in Dhaka, where her husband’s body is being kept. The couple had first met at the same residence.”
The body of Tawfique Nawaz will be taken to Gulshan Azad Mosque for the funeral prayer, followed by his burial at Banani Cemetery.
Dipu Moni was arrested from the Baridhara DOHS area on 19 August, following the fall of the Awami League government in 2024.
She has remained in custody at Munshiganj District Jail since then.
