Mariah Carey’s daughter’s latest post with a cryptic caption sparked concern among the songstress’s fans.
On Monday, Monroe Cannon, whom Mariah shares with ex Nick Cannon, uploaded a throwback picture with her popstar mom. In the snap, the pair can be seen having a fun time in a bathhouse with Mariah lying on a corner of a tub while Monroe leans on her legs, spreading her arms out and smiling.
Though the picture captures a sweet moment of the mother-daughter duo, Monroe’s mysterious caption raised concerns among users. The 15-year-old kept the caption simple by adding four emojis- a candle, a yoga pose, two pink hearts and an angel wing.
Angel wings are commonly used on social media as a reference emoji for someone’s passing; fans rushed to the comment section to ask about Mariah’s well-being.
One follower wrote, “Is everything okay with your mom??”
Another commented in worry, “You gave us a heart attack…the caption omg.”
A third fan asked for the meaning behind the caption, while a fourth directly asked, “Is Mariah okay? The caption has me worried.”
Mariah has been away from public appearances for a while as she is currently on her hiatus. Her last public appearance came in May on the Gucci Cruise.
However, she was active on her social media last July as she posted throwback snaps along with a video of her singing.
It is pertinent to mention that Mariah has been vocal about her mental health issues and was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 2001.
She is also mom to son Moroccan, who is twin to Monroe.
