The government has appointed new police superintendents (SPs) to Jhalkathi and Rajshahi districts.
The appointments were made through a gazette notification issued on today (13 August), signed by Towsif Ahmed, deputy secretary of the Police-1 branch of the home ministry, under the order of the president.
According to the notification, SP of the Anti-Terrorism Unit (ATU) Merin Sultan has been transferred and appointed as SP of Jhalkathi, while Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of the Police Headquarters Md Mamun-ur-Rashid has been appointed as SP of Rajshahi.
Meanwhile, Rajshahi SP Mohammad Naimul Hasan has been transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
The orders were issued in the public interest and will take effect immediately.
