Katie Price is “deeply concerned” about her friend Perez Hilton, as he appeared to be harming himself during a live stream on TikTok.
The 48-year-old celebrity blogger was taken to the hospital on Tuesday night after he attempted to harm himself with a knife.
On Wednesday, Perez’s family issued a statement revealing he was still in hospital, but was “able to communicate.
“Your compassionate humanity during this profoundly heartbreaking time has meant more than words can express.” the message read.
“This has been incredibly difficult and emotional for us, made even harder because very little information has been made available to our family. While we continue to wait for further updates, we remain hopeful,” they wrote.
“We have also been able to confirm that Perez is able to communicate, which has given our family hope,” the statement concluded.
After this unfortunate incident, Katie told The Sun that she was “deeply concerned” about Perez.
“I am really concerned for Perez and his mental health. It’s so sad to see him like this,” said the former glamour model.
“I’m shocked by what has happened. I’ve always liked Perez,” Katie told the outlet.
‘I’ve spoken to him so much over the years, including about surrogacy. I will reach out to him and his family,” she added. “I’m a celebrity like him, controversial. He’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but then again neither am I.”
For those unversed, Katie and Perez became friends after they appeared on Celebrity Big Brother together in 2015.
