Digital Device and Innovation Expo 2026 will begin tomorrow (28 January) at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre in Dhaka.
Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus will inaugurate the event, and the four-day event will continue until 31 January, according to information shared at a press conference held at a hotel in the capital today (27 January).
The expo is being jointly organised by the ICT Division, Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority and Bangladesh Computer Samity.
Bangladesh Computer Samity President Mohammad Jahirul Islam said the expo will focus on student innovations and local technology product manufacturers. He said seminars and sessions will be held to support student skills.
He added that the expo aims to raise public awareness, support an investment friendly environment in the ICT sector, encourage youth participation, and promote employment and entrepreneurship. He also said business-to-business meetings will be held between local and foreign technology companies.
ICT Secretary Shish Haider Chowdhury said Bangladesh has become a role model for other countries in the information technology sector. He said such events are important to address the challenges of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Managing Director of Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority Md Mamunur Rashid Bhuiyan said the benefits of hi-tech parks have reached district and upazila levels. He said student innovations from across the country will be displayed.
BCS Secretary General Muhammad Monirul Islam said the expo will remain open until 8pm on the first day and from 10am to 8pm on other days. Entry will be free, but visitors must register online or at the venue.
The expo will include innovation, digital device, mobile, e-sports and B2B zones. Five seminars and four panel discussions will be held. The venue will have Wi-Fi through satellite internet.
Epson, Honor, HP, Lenovo, Oppo, Samsung, Tecno and Xiaomi are gold sponsors of the event. Acer, Gigabyte, Netis, TP-Link and UCC are silver sponsors.
