Prime Minister Tarique Rahman today (7 June) thanked the Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Md Asaduzzaman and the Home Affairs Minister Salahuddin Ahmed for their roles in identifying and bringing the suspects in the Ramisa murder case under the law.
At a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee of the 13th National Parliament held at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban, the prime minister praised the relevant ministries and law enforcement agencies for their prompt action in investigating the case and identifying those involved.
“The swift investigation, identification and arrest of the suspects in the brutal and heartbreaking murder reflected the government’s firm commitment to maintaining law and order,” he added.
The prime minister expressed hope that the judicial process would be completed swiftly and fairly, and that those found guilty would receive punishment in accordance with the law.
He also called on law enforcement agencies, investigators and all concerned to continue demonstrating the same level of professionalism and dedication in ensuring public safety.
Members present at the meeting also praised the authorities for their quick response and expressed hope that the government’s “zero tolerance” policy against crime would continue.
