A young man died after falling from the 7th floor of Bashundhara City Shopping Mall in the capital’s Panthapath today (27 May).
His identity could not be confirmed immediately.
Tejgaon Police Station Officer-in-Charge Kaishonju Marma told The Business Standard the man fell from the 7th floor around 4:30pm and was later rescued by mall staff and taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
He added that efforts are underway to identify the deceased.
“Preliminary indications suggest it may be a suicide. However, we are collecting CCTV footage from the scene to determine the exact circumstances,” he said.
