A massive fire broke out today (25 May) at the Kalshi slum in Mirpur’s Pallabi area of the capital, with 13 Fire Service units working to control the blaze.
Fire Service Headquarters Warehouse Inspector Md Anwarul Islam said seven units from the Pallabi and Mirpur fire stations began working to control the fire after receiving the report at 7:23pm.
He also said firefighters were facing difficulties controlling the blaze due to a shortage of water.
