Bangladesh discussed potential collaboration with Google to advance technology-based education initiatives, including the government’s “One Teacher, One Tab” programme, during a meeting held on the sidelines of the Education World Forum 2026 in London.
Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon met with Google for Education’s Pacific Regional Director Colin Marson and Head of Solutions Engineering Oli Trussell at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre today (20 May).
According to the Ministry of Education, the meeting focused on expanding the use of technology in Bangladesh’s education sector and exploring ways Google could support the government’s digital transformation plans.
Google officials briefed the minister on the company’s ongoing efforts to strengthen technology integration in education systems across different countries.
The discussions also emphasised teacher capacity-building and the wider use of digital tools to improve the effectiveness of classroom learning.
The “One Teacher, One Tab” initiative received particular attention during the talks, with both sides discussing possible areas of technical support and cooperation.
The minister is currently visiting the United Kingdom to attend the Education World Forum 2026.
