Six people died of dengue in the country in the last 24 hours, while 1,492 new patients were admitted to hospitals during the same period.
The information was disclosed in a press release issued today (10 September) by the Health Emergency Operation Centre and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Of the six deaths reported in the 24-hour period, two were in the Khulna division. One death each was reported in the Barishal, Chattogram, Dhaka, and Rajshahi divisions (excluding city corporation areas).
Meanwhile, 1,304 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals during the same period, taking the total number of recoveries this year to 44,857.
The cumulative number of dengue cases reported across the country has now reached 48,430, while the death toll stands at 139.
