A total of 302 July warriors from 13 upazilas of Dinajpur district are receiving monthly government allowances amounting to Tk32.10 lakh under three categories.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Md. Riaz Uddin told BSS on Thursday that the beneficiaries were enlisted following verification of those injured during the anti-discrimination student-public movement in 2024.
Under the scheme, seven Category “A” July warriors are receiving Tk20,000 each per month, while 24 beneficiaries under Category “B” are getting Tk15,000 each and 271 under Category “C” are receiving Tk10,000 each through their respective bank accounts.
He said the allowances are being disbursed regularly through direct bank transfers.
