The government has transferred two senior police officials serving in Chattogram, assigning them to new posts in the Tourist Police and Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP).
According to separate notifications issued by the Police-1 branch of the Public Security Division of the Home Ministry yesterday (30 August), Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP) Additional Commissioner Wahidul Haque Chowdhury has been appointed additional deputy inspector general (ADIG) of the Tourist Police.
Nazmul Hasan, additional ADIG at the office of the Chattogram Range DIG, has been appointed additional police commissioner of KMP.
The notifications were signed by Deputy Secretary Tousif Ahmed.
The transfers were made in the public interest by order of the President, according to the notifications. The officials have been directed to join their new workplaces immediately, with the orders taking effect at once.
