More than 200 brands from 27 countries will showcase over 4,000 technology and machinery-based solutions at the 11th BAPA FoodPro International Expo 2026, which will begin in Dhaka on Thursday (10 September).
The three-day exhibition, jointly organised by the Bangladesh Agro-Processors’ Association (BAPA) and Rainbow Exhibition and Event Management Services Limited, will be held at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) from 10 to 12 September.
The organisers expect at least 24,000 visitors to attend the expo, which will feature technologies for food processing, filling, packaging, coding and marking, labelling, quality inspection, warehousing, cold chain and logistics.
The details were disclosed at a press conference at BAPA’s office in Sobhanbagh today (8 September).
Speaking at the press conference, Ahsan Khan Chowdhury, chairman of the expo organising committee and chief executive officer of PRAN-RFL Group, said this year’s event had been designed as a “360-degree” initiative aimed at the overall development of Bangladesh’s food processing sector.
He said 156 foreign exhibitors would participate in the expo with modern machinery and technologies, giving local entrepreneurs an opportunity to explore new solutions without having to travel abroad.
“Bangladesh is open for business—the foreigners are highly optimistic about this message and are participating in the expo. Amid the current business uncertainty, this will encourage industries to strengthen their technological capabilities. Through this, companies will be able to become familiar with new technologies, which will help them improve efficiency from production to logistics,” he said.
He added that the event would provide companies with opportunities to explore necessary technologies, potential partners and industry insights while helping improve efficiency and promote sustainable operations across the value chain, from production and processing to packaging, warehousing and logistics.
“Through BAPA FoodPro International Expo 2026, companies will have the opportunity to explore necessary technologies, partners and industry insights,” he said.
The participating countries include China, India, Japan, South Korea, Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Singapore, Thailand, Türkiye, the United Kingdom, the United States, Australia, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, among others.
Artificial intelligence-powered automation, machine vision, robotics, smart factories, industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), advanced processing machinery and sustainable packaging materials and designs will be among the major attractions.
The organisers said the expo would also feature modern technologies in processing, packaging, cold chain and logistics, with more than 4,000 technology and machinery-based solutions to be displayed.
BAPA President Mahbub Anam said modern technology was essential for developing the country’s agricultural products and food processing sector.
“Modern technology is extremely important for the development of Bangladesh’s agricultural products and food processing sector. The exhibition will introduce entrepreneurs to new technologies and play an important role in expanding investment, production and exports,” he said.
The organisers said more than 100 experts and industry leaders would participate in regional conferences, seminars and practical sessions during the event.
An opening-day CEO Conclave will also be held, where industry challenges and policy support will be discussed.
For the first time, eight banks will participate directly in the expo to facilitate access to financing for small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) entrepreneurs.
The organisers have also taken an initiative to strengthen ties between industry and academia by arranging for students from Mymensingh Agricultural University to attend the expo for the first time.
Alongside the FoodPro expo, the Food Ingredients Bangladesh Expo 2026 will be held at the same venue. It will showcase functional food and beverages, nutraceuticals, alternative proteins, plant-based formulations, and sustainable food ingredients.
Other attractions will include the Session Stage, FP Gourmet, Drinksphere, Global Food Security and Technology Forum, and Creative Design Village.
The expo will remain open from 10am to 7pm on 10 and 11 September and from 10am to 6:30pm on 12 September.
BAPA Secretary General Syed Mohammad Shoaib Hasan, BAPA Treasurer Minhaj Ahmed and other members of the association were also present at the press conference.
