The deceased, Mosammat Tanzila, 25, was found around 2pm in the second-floor flat of a building, confirmed Hatirjheel Police Officer-in-Charge Md Asaduzzaman.
Police broke open the door after being alerted by local residents and found the body hanging from a ceiling fan with an orna tied around her neck, the OC said.
