Waste Concern has issued a formal clarification rejecting any link between the organisation and Jeffrey Epstein following public discussions and social media speculation referencing the Epstein files released by the US Department of Justice.
In a statement sent to The Business Standard today (8 February), Waste Concern said it has never had any direct or indirect contact, communication, financial relationship, or institutional association with Epstein or with any individuals or networks connected to the criminal activities described in the documents.
It described any suggestion to the contrary as “factually incorrect and misleading”.
The organisation also noted that The Business Standard article titled “Inside the Epstein files: How Bangladesh appears and why it matters” does not allege wrongdoing by any Bangladeshi entity and does not identify Waste Concern as being connected to Epstein.
According to the article, Bangladesh appears in the released materials only through incidental third-party references, which do not imply endorsement, partnership, or misconduct. The appearance of names, institutions, or countries in the files does not imply criminal conduct or wrongdoing.
