US-Bangla Airlines has announced the launch of two special flights on the Dhaka–Dubai–Dhaka route to repatriate Bangladeshi nationals stranded in the United Arab Emirates amid the ongoing Middle East crisis.
The first special flight will depart Dhaka for Dubai today (March 4) at 7:20pm Bangladesh time.
The return flight will leave Dubai at 12:20am local time for Dhaka, according to a press release issued today.
The second special flight will depart Dhaka tomorrow (5 March) at 5:15pm Bangladesh time.
The return leg will depart Dubai at 10pm local time for Dhaka.
The flights will be operated using a 436-seat Airbus A330-300 aircraft to ensure sufficient capacity for passengers requiring urgent travel.
The flight numbers are BS-341 for Dhaka to Dubai and BS-342 for Dubai to Dhaka.
The Dubai Airport Authority has granted special permission to US-Bangla Airlines, along with other international carriers, including Emirates and Air India, to operate humanitarian services in view of the prevailing situation.
The airline said priority will be given to Bangladeshi nationals whose visas have expired or are close to expiry to facilitate their timely return.
