People from 21 southern districts are returning home for Eid-ul-Fitr using the Padma Bridge without any major inconvenience reported.
Despite slightly higher-than-usual traffic at the Mawa-end toll plaza of the Dhaka-Mawa Expressway and the Padma Bridge in Munshiganj today (19 March), authorities have ensured that vehicles carrying homebound passengers can pay tolls quickly and continue their journey smoothly.
Alongside long-distance public transport, a noticeable number of private vehicles are also using the expressway, contributing to the busy but well-managed traffic flow so far.
In the past 24 hours, a total of 41,885 vehicles crossed the Padma Bridge from both ends, generating Tk45,405,250 in toll revenue.
