A disruption in the sound system for the second time forced the speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad to suspend today’s sitting for 20 minutes.
Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed was presiding over the eighth day of the first session of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad when the sound system malfunctioned at 5:52pm today (5 April).
Chief Whip Nurul Islam Moni was speaking at the time.
Following the disruption, the speaker adjourned the session for 20 minutes. The House was also suspended for another 20 minutes to allow for Maghrib prayers.
