Supreme Court senior advocate Barrister Ruhul Quddus Kazal has been appointed as the 18th attorney general of Bangladesh.
He was appointed by the president’s order today (25 March), confirmed Ruhul Quddus Kazal.
Kazal is a member of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP)’s National Executive Committee. He currently serves as a member of the Bangladesh Bar Council and previously held the position of Secretary of the Supreme Court Bar Association.
An alumnus of the Law Department at the University of Dhaka, Barrister Kazal became a member of the Supreme Court Bar Association in 1996.
In addition to his legal career, he also spent a period working in journalism.
