Police recovered a looted shotgun along with 27 cartridges and 10 rounds of Chinese Rifle bullets from the capital’s Pallabi area on Monday (30 March).
The matter was confirmed today (31 March) by Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Assistant Police Commissioner (Media and Public Relations) Arifa Akhter Preeti.
She said that at around 4am, the arms were recovered from an abandoned condition in a building under construction at Alinagar Sagufta Housing area.
The recovered weapons and ammunition include a 12-bore shotgun, 27 rounds of cartridges, 10 rounds of Chinese rifle bullets, and 2 empty shells of the shotgun.
The DMP official added that further legal action in the matter is underway.
