The date, schedule, and itinerary of a possible state visit by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman have not yet been finalised, his Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Rumon said today (8 April).
It has also not been decided which country he will visit first, Atikur said in a statement.
“Recently, misleading information and rumours have been circulating in some media outlets and on social media. Some reports claim that the prime minister will visit India first during the state visit. This information is baseless and has no truth,” he added.
These false reports are being spread deliberately, Atikur further said.
“All concerned are requested not to pay attention to the misleading news and rumours circulating in media and on social platforms,” he added.
Atikur also said that once an official decision is made by government sources, it will be communicated in due course.
