The Peninsula Chittagong has introduced a themed Bengali snack buffet aimed at reviving the traditional culture of adda, offering guests a nostalgic post-Eid leisure experience at its Ozone Lounge.
Titled “Adda & Nostalgia”, the event was inaugurated on Thursday (26 March) at the hotel’s Ozone Lounge, with Director Mustafa Tahseen Arshad attending as chief guest, according to a press release.
Hotel officials said the event draws inspiration from the long-standing Bengali tradition of informal social gatherings, commonly known as adda. The venue has been decorated with vintage elements and cultural motifs to recreate a sense of old-time Bengal.
The initiative comes in the wake of Eid festivities, aiming to draw visitors seeking a relaxed social setting rooted in Bengali heritage. The experience features a curated buffet of traditional snacks, sweets, complemented by tea from Ispahani tea.
Guests can enjoy the buffet at a price of Tk1,999 (net), with organisers positioning it as a weekend retreat for families and friends.
The event will continue every Friday and Saturday from 3pm to 6pm at the Ozone Lounge, the hotel said.
Among others Director Sabedur Rahman, Operation Manager Anowar Pasha and department heads of the hotel were present at the launching event.
