The newly appointed Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Afroz Khanam Rita, and State Minister M Roshiduzzaman Millat took office today (18 February).
According to a Facebook post by the ministry, the minister and state minister were received by Secretary Nasreen Jahan and other senior officials.
Following their arrival, the minister and state minister took part in an introductory meeting with officials of the ministry, marking the beginning of their formal duties.
Officials said the meeting focused on familiarisation and exchanging views on the ministry’s ongoing activities and future priorities.
