The National Legal Aid Services Organisation (NLASO) has disposed of 2,33,655 cases through its legal aid services, according to a report published on its website.
The report covers activities from 2009 to March 2026.
It said that of the total cases, 2,332 were resolved through the Supreme Court Legal Aid Office, 2,30,503 through 64 district legal aid offices and 820 through labour legal aid cells in Dhaka and Chattogram.
During the same period, 14,37,736 people received government-funded legal assistance.
The services are provided under the Legal Aid Services Act to ensure access to justice for insolvent and disadvantaged citizens.
The programme covers the Supreme Court, lower courts across the country, labour courts and prisons, benefiting underprivileged litigants and detainees.
The initiative is implemented under the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs through the National Legal Aid Services Organisation.
