Jamaat chief’s greetings with diplomats draw mixed reactions

Videos of Jamaat Ameer Shafiqur Rahman hugging and greeting diplomats abruptly during a meet and greet on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr yesterday (21 March) has garnered mixed reactions from the public. 

Some were praising him for his cordiality while others cringed at the overly friendly gesture.

One user wrote on Facebook, “Who does he fall on everyone all the time! Ridiculous.”

Meanwhile, another user wrote on Youtube, “Jamaat truly got a humble leader.”
