The Embassy of Italy has congratulated the people of Bangladesh on the orderly and peaceful conduct of the 13th national parliamentary election and referendum held on 12 February.
In a Facebook post today (14 February), the embassy also extended its congratulations to the BNP on its electoral success.
The statement encouraged all political forces in the country to work towards a prosperous and democratic future.
It added that Italy looks forward with confidence to the prospects for bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
