Afnan Ibne Hasan, a student of Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University, has been elected joint general secretary of the university’s Mymensingh District Student Welfare Association.
Alongside his academic studies, Afnan has long been involved in social, cultural and humanitarian activities. His contribution to student welfare, mutual cooperation and unity among students from the Mymensingh region has already been appreciated by peers, according to the organisation.
Reacting to his election, Afnan Ibne Hasan said, “The Mymensingh District Student Welfare Association is a non-political, social and humanitarian organisation. With the cooperation of all, I want to work with sincerity and integrity to implement the goals and objectives of the organisation.
“My priority is to contribute effectively to student welfare, cultural development, mutual brotherhood and social progress. I seek everyone’s support and prayers.”
He also said new initiatives would be taken to make the organisation’s activities more dynamic, transparent and student-friendly. He expressed hope that these efforts would strengthen the organisation and improve its effectiveness.
The Mymensingh District Student Welfare Association has long been involved in various social and humanitarian activities for the welfare of students and the wider community. The organisation said it expects the newly elected committee to play a more active role in the future.
