Initiatives will be taken to reduce the cost of the Hajj package for 2027 considering the overall situation and the needs of pilgrims, Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Houssain Kaikobad has said in parliament.
The minister was speaking today (7 April) in reply to a starred tabled question raised by treasury bench member Lutfur Rahman (Cox’s Bazar-3).
The Hajj operations for 2026 have reached the final stage following the announcement of the Hajj package, he said.
He added that according to the package, various expenses for both the Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh phases have already been paid.
Kaikobad stated that all activities, including visa processing, have been completed in line with the Saudi timeline and that Hajj flights will begin on 18 April.
