The government has appointed new deputy commissioners (DCs) in four districts.
The Ministry of Public Administration issued separate notifications appointing new DCs for Rajbari, Thakurgaon, Pabna, and Rangpur today (1 April).
According to the notifications, Afroza Parvin, director (deputy secretary) of the Bangladesh Public Procurement Authority (BPPA), has been appointed DC of Rajbari.
Mohammad Rafiqul Haque, deputy secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, has been appointed DC of Thakurgaon.
Aminul Islam has been appointed DC of Pabna.
Mohammad Rohol Amin, secretary of the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC), has been appointed DC of Rangpur.
Meanwhile, the outgoing DCs, Shahed Mostafa of Pabna, Esrat Farzana of Thakurgaon, Mohammed Anamul Ahasan of Rangpur, and Sultana Akter of Rajbari, have been assigned to the Ministry of Public Administration for their next postings.
