The government has appointed new deputy commissioners (DCs) in 11 districts.
In a notification issued today (29 March), the Ministry of Public Administration withdrew the current district commissioners from their responsibilities and appointed new DCs in their place.
The districts where deputy commissioners have been changed are Rajshahi, Chuadanga, Khulna, Madaripur, Brahmanbaria, Chandpur, Habiganj, Narsingdi, Meherpur, Lalmonirhat and Bandarban.
In a separate notification, the officials previously serving as deputy commissioners in these districts have been withdrawn from their posts and attached to the Ministry of Public Administration for subsequent postings.
The newly appointed deputy commissioners in 11 districts are:
- Rajshahi: Kazi Shahidul Islam (deputy secretary, Ministry of Public Administration)
- Chuadanga: Lutfun Nahar (deputy secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs)
- Khulna: Hure Jannat (deputy secretary, Secondary and Higher Education Division)
- Madaripur: Marzina Akter (deputy secretary, Finance Division)
- Brahmanbaria: Md Abu Sayeed (deputy director, Government Printing Press)
- Chandpur: Ahmed Ziaur Rahman (deputy secretary, Energy and Mineral Resources Division)
- Habiganj: GM Sarfaraz (deputy secretary, Cabinet Division)
- Narsingdi: Israt Jahan Keya (deputy secretary, Ministry of Labour and Employment)
- Meherpur: Shilpi Rani Roy (deputy secretary, Ministry of Cultural Affairs)
- Lalmonirhat: Muh. Rashedul Haque Prodhan (Secretary/Deputy Secretary, Power Development Board)
- Bandarban: Md Saniul Ferdous (Deputy Project Director, Land Management Automation Project)
