A fire broke out at a restaurant in the Hatirpool area of the capital today (31 March), but was quickly brought under control by firefighters.
According to the Fire Service and Civil Defence, the incident occurred around 2:50pm in Commissioner Goli, Hatirpool.
Four units rushed to the scene, and the fire was contained within about 10 minutes, by 3pm, confirmed firefighter Shihab Sarkar from the control room.
He said that although four units were dispatched, two actively worked to extinguish the blaze.
He added that the fire was not severe and was brought under control swiftly, preventing any major damage or casualties.
