A fire broke out in a 10-storey building near Krishi Market in the capital’s Mohammadpur this evening (24 May).
According to the Fire Service and Civil Defence, two firefighting units reached the scene and began efforts to bring the blaze under control, while two additional units were on their way.
The Fire Service received the report of the fire at 7:03pm at the building located opposite Japan Garden City.
Fire Service control room duty officer Rakibul Hasan said the responding units faced difficulties reaching the spot due to severe traffic congestion.
He could not immediately confirm whether the building was residential or commercial.
