Voting for Bangladesh’s 13th national parliamentary election and referendum will take place at 42,766 polling centres across 300 constituencies, the Election Commission announced today (28 January).
“42,779 presiding officers, 247,482 assistant presiding officers, and 494,964 polling officers will manage the election. In total, 785,225 officials will oversee voting, EC Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed shared the final list of centres and booths at the EC office in Agargaon.
The total number of registered voters is 127,711,793, including 64,825,361 men, 62,885,200 women, and 1,232 hijra voters.
The EC said that all preparations are being finalised ahead of polling on 12 February, when voters will cast ballots in the parliamentary election and the nationwide referendum.
