The biennial election of the Chattogram TV Camera Journalists Association for the 2026–28 term has been completed, with Enamul Haque elected as president and Ashraful Alam Chowdhury Mamun as general secretary.
The results were formally announced last night (1 April) by election committee chairman Mohsin Chowdhury. The election commission comprised Hasan Mokul and Anupam Shil.
According to the announced results, the full executive committee includes Sanjib De Babu as vice-president, Basu Dev as joint secretary, Parvezur Rahman as treasurer, Saiful Islam as organising secretary, Saimun Al Murad as office secretary, and Md Nazim Uddin as publicity and publication secretary.
The elected executive members are Robiul Hossain Tipu, Zahirul Islam and Md Nazim.
The announcement event was attended by general meeting president Md Farid Uddin and outgoing TCJA President Shafik Ahmed Sajib, alongside members of the organisation.
The newly elected leaders pledged to work in unity to protect the rights of camera journalists and enhance professional standards in the sector.
