The Election Commission today (4 March) published centre-wise results of the 13th National Parliamentary Election on its website.
The commission uploaded detailed voting data for each polling centre under individual constituencies. The published data include the total number of voters, votes cast, valid votes received and the votes secured by each candidate at every centre.
Earlier, on 12 February, voting was held alongside a referendum on constitutional reform. Polls took place in 299 constituencies.
However, the results of two Chattogram seats, Chattogram-2 and Chattogram-4, were withheld following court directives related to the winning candidates. The EC has since announced and gazetted the results of the remaining 297 constituencies.
According to the preliminary results, the BNP secured 209 seats, while Jamaat-e-Islami won 68 seats, becoming the second-largest party in parliament. The NCP won six seats, Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis secured two, and independent candidates claimed seven seats.
Among smaller parties, Islami Andolan Bangladesh, Gono Odhhikar Parishad, Ganosamhati Andolon, Jatiyo Party and Khelafat Majlis each won one seat.
