Police and locals suspect that the parents fed poison to their two children before taking their own lives

Police recovered the bodies of four members of a family, including two children, from a residence in the Wapda Bihari Camp area of Mirpur-11 in the capital today (5 February).
The deceased were identified as Masum, 30; his wife Sumi, 25; and their two children – four-year-old Minhaj, and two-year-old Asad.
Confirming the incident, Pallabi Police Station Inspector (Operations) Md Hanif Mia said police rushed to the spot after receiving information and recovered the bodies. Senior police officials also visited the scene.
According to police and locals, it is initially suspected that the parents fed poison to their two children before taking their own lives.
However, police said the exact cause of death would be determined after autopsies.
