The BNP has organised a two-day training workshop for its MPs ahead of the first session of the 13th National Parliament.
The workshop began this morning (6 March) at the party chairperson’s office in Gulshan. BNP Chairperson, Parliamentary Leader, and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman inaugurated the event at 10:30am.
His press secretary, Atikur Rahman Rumon, said, “BNP Chairperson Mr Tarique Rahman, who is the parliamentary leader and the prime minister, is attending a training workshop for BNP members of parliament.”

Today, the morning session ran from 10:30am to 12:30pm for ministers, state ministers and advisers. After a lunch break, the second session ran from 2:30pm to 4:30pm for MPs from parts of Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka and Faridpur divisions.
Tomorrow (7 March), the morning session will include MPs from Dhaka district, Mymensingh, Faridpur, and the remaining parts of Dhaka division, while the afternoon session will include MPs from Sylhet, Cumilla, and Chattogram divisions.
The two-day workshop aims to give MPs a basic understanding of parliamentary activities, including bill and budget formulation, the work of standing committees, and parliamentary conventions.
Experienced former bureaucrats, academicians, and former MPs will explain the responsibilities of MPs, parliamentary practices of cabinet members, and how they can play a strategic role in running ministries.
The opening session of the closed-door workshop was attended by party Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and standing committee members Abdul Moyeen Khan, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, and AZM Zahid Hossain. Prime Minister Tarique Rahman delivered the welcome speech. His daughter Zaima Rahman was also present.
